By far the very best restaurant in Essex. Expect to spend about £50 per person but wow great food and a great atmosphere!

I was recommended to Alvaro's by a friend.. But much to my dismay, I found myself rather disappointed. We had more waiters than food, and the menu was very over priced. I love portuguese food, but this restaurant did not reach the same levels as most others. I would not recommend anyone there and I certainly will not go there again.

My wife and i go just once a year on our wedding Aniversary but each time i say thats the best food i have ever had, i wish i could cook a steak like that the food is just surblime i had fillet steak with lobster which i thought, how can that go together but it did beautifuly, it the perfect romantic restaurant small and intimate, attentive service you are made to feel special i cant wait until July.
