Ate here in late August with my husband on a 2 for 1 voucher from The Observer; one main course from menu, one free main. Got the SEABASS and honestly it was excellent; i cook all the time so I think I know what's good or not....Husband got lamb shanks; all fresh tomato ingredients and nice portion (*although Waitrose own Lamb Shanks have the slight edge). Turns out we really lucked out here; we like it. The place is quiet and no table entertainment or dancing but who cares; we wanted to eat. This isn't LA, it's Lakeside. Try it.

The food here is lovely like all strada but when it comes to pay the bill beware. Their attitudes change especially if you want to use a discount card they give out. And watch out for your 'optional tip' it's all ready taken from your card...not too optional then. having said that it generally been lovely and we return almost weekly so it can't be that bad
