The George Inn
This beautiful 14th century country inn offers a charming timber framed building with a wealth of character & charm. Set in rural countryside along side the B1053 and within easy reach of Gt Dunmow, Braintree and Stansted Airport It offers traditional English pub fare and the open log fire in winter gives the place a real homely and welcoming feel. Under new management since April 2006 there is a full A la Carte menu on offer both lunchtimes and during the evening, with the addition of sandwiches, jacket potatoes and basket meals etc available lunchtimes. On Sundays a traditional roast is served alongside the A la Carte menu, offering a choice of three meats and all the trimmings. All the food is cooked fresh to order and all ingredients are sourced from local suppliers.
