The Duke of Wellington Public House
The Duke of Wellington stands in the High Street in Epping. This large impressive establishment offers a full compliment of Pub, Restaurant and Overnight Accommodation.
Only a short walk from the market square in the centre of town, this atmospheric pub has an inviting ambience in which to enjoy a glass of Real Ale or one of the several excellent lagers. The pub boasts one of the best and largest beer gardens in the area and is very popular during the summer, especially for customers with children. Barbecues are held in the garden during the summer (weather permitting).

The George Inn
This beautiful 14th century country inn offers a charming timber framed building with a wealth of character & charm. Set in rural countryside along side the B1053 and within easy reach of Gt Dunmow, Braintree and Stansted Airport It offers traditional English pub fare and the open log fire in winter gives the place a real homely and welcoming feel. Under new management since April 2006 there is a full A la Carte menu on offer both lunchtimes and during the evening, with the addition of sandwiches, jacket potatoes and basket meals etc available lunchtimes. On Sundays a traditional roast is served alongside the A la Carte menu, offering a choice of three meats and all the trimmings. All the food is cooked fresh to order and all ingredients are sourced from local suppliers. The pub offers up to 6 real ales including two local breweries both within 5 miles for that just out of the barrel taste, and hold the full range of lagers and ciders. The pub is featured in the Real Ale Pub Guide 2007 and Hidden Treasures 2007.

The cottage is over 450 years old, and has recently been refurbished to add extra seating and facilities to customers.
