We went to this pub the food was poor and the welcme was very poor and the complete opposite of what it used to be when we last stayed here. There was no one in the pub and was veryu expensive and then found the pub was closed at 7.30 on a sunday.

A very good venue which serves excellent gluten free food. The staff are aware of the problems which are involved in producing food for coeliacs. Their lunch time menu, Monday to Friday, where two people eat a main meal for £10 is also excelllent. I would recommend this venue to anyone. 3 April 2009

A Great Pub in the heart of the Village, serving great food with, Pie N Mash, curry and Fish and Chip Nights and also Take away Pizza etc. Great Sunday Lunches and food served 7 days a week.
Great Selection of Wine and Beers and Log Fires for the winter and the best enclosed Garden in the area for the Summer.
Family Run Pub with lots of special events to raise money for Essex Air Ambulance.
Half a mile from Audley End House and Saffron Walden and also has 7 excelent rooms for booking within in 20 minutes of Stansted and Cambridge and close to Newmarket Races - Great Location.
