I'm vegetarian and to actually have food in a restaurant which the chef has thought about and put as much imagination into it as a meat dish was brilliant. Since then we have been completely addicted to "The Great White Hart" as I like to call it. We go there every month and last month stayed over there for our anniversary which was absolutely lovely. We even got upgraded to the Bridal Suite. Next month we are celebrating valentines day there. The Great White has a lot of things going for it but the best thing other than the food, is the layout and ambience that you get. Well worth the money. The venison loin was excellent; the baby carrots the best I have ever tasted and the dessert - chocolate tear drop surrounding raspberry mousse was top West End standard. The wine list was great with a couple of real steals. Service attentive and knowledgeable. The hotel offered a good deal and was warm and comfortable. Breakfast was very good too. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was superb and the surroundings lovely. Would travel back from Kent just for the Creme Brulee - best ever!! Chatted with the chef and loved his passion for his food.
