Will they never learn?? I promise you, it is SO LOUD in there while you eat, it would wake the dead and a deaf person would hear it and complain!! bFood is ok, service very questionable....we complained we couldn't hear each other speak only to be told it would get louder, not quieter, later! Do they really not understand?? If I wanted extreme music I'd go to a gig.....but usually people eating out are with friends and cctually want to chat!

What a shame, but I'll bet they won't change, and we'll not go there again though we live walking distance from their restaurant.....

Sat down at 8pm, starters with us 9ish main meal served at 10pm, luke warm.

The disco, which I was not aware of until I arrived started around 10pm, far too noisy, I seriously could not hear the person sat next to me.
The people serving were very polite and helpful, No fault here at all.

The food, luke warm, aghast at the fact a microwave was used to re-heat the food after the complaint. I've had better from a jar of Lloyd Grossman.

Value for money, our meal worked out at £37.50 per head including drinks, umm I don't think so.

Would I recommend? No.

If you like lots of noise with a luke warm meal and prefer to shout your conversation, then this is the place for you. Not for me I'm afraid

I've visited on a party night and on a Sunday for the buffet which is actually served at your table. It was delicious and excellent value. I treated my mum and dad and they've never eaten Indian food in a restaurant before but they thought it was fabulous and wanted to book for Christmas Day whilst still at the table!

There was a set meal of 4 courses for £27.50 - the courses turned out to be 1 poppadom each, a starter, a very small main with hardly any rice or noodles to accompany it and ice cream OR coffee.

The food is very poor quality made with poor produce, the chicken was that slimey water pumped type you get in cheap takeaways. We had to wait an hour between starters and main course and servuce all night was very slow, unless they were taking away your glasses and constantly offering you more drinks - which were very expensive. The bill at the end of the night was ludicrous for the food and service we received. The only highlight was the dancefloor and music. Don't go!

Far too young girl at door 'Is that Carol for 5 at 8'. Not a great start. Booked 4 weeks earlier but not on the list!! Table was found and beautiful meal was served up. Ordering drinks was a nightmare with orders being lost and re-ordered. Ladies toilets blocked and flooded so Gents became unisex. There seemed to be a fly problem, that is buzz not trouser, which was a little irritating. Perhaps we just got a bad evening. Despite all this we had a good evening as I was with most of the people I would like to be with on my birthday. If the management could sort out the fine detail this place has the potential to be brilliant.

This place was a disaster. Apart from the annoying flies buzzing around, always a bad sign, all of the food was "un meat" as Gordon Ramsay would say. I think these people have taken the "Mums gone to Iceland" philosophy a step too far. We wanted to try Thai food and I have to say it has put us off forever. Between 4 of us we shared six different dishes not one of them had a piece of genuine meat. It was all that reconstituted garbage. Total bill was £120, we only had two drinks each and a starter also full of "un meat". A definate candidate for Gordons next "Kitchen Nightmare" program.

From the refreshingly informal yet polite way the service is delivered, through some great food, to a great night dancing or just chatting. I thouroughly recommend this restaurant and the dining/entertaining experience it offers.

Always plenty of parking, £30-£50 per head depending if you cannot resist their lobster , but so easy to eat for less , and some great vegetarian options on the menu if meat isn't your thing.

Take a taxi, or get a lift, don't take the car, they make a lovely Kir Royale at the cozy bar and the happily packed dance floor is right there for some more vigorous fun...

Highly recommended.

But the service was very good and the staff very helpfull.

We were all a little disappointed when we came to pay the bill to be told that the service charge added at the end of the bill would not be going to the staff, but the restaurant it self. No tips left for the staff either paid cash or on a credit card go's to the staff it go's directly to the restaurant owner.

I live in South Woodham Ferrers which is 'blessed' with four or five Indian restaurants, but it's still worth the drive to the Royal Tiger.

The Thai food is fresh and zingy, while the Indian menu is spicy and flavoursome. Try the Goan Crab ob Puree as a starter.

The staff are friendly and polite, and while the drinks aren't cheap, the overall bill is good value for money.

Sunday buffet lunch is a bonus, we've never managed to finish a Sunday lunch there, and for a tenner it's great value.

Other local Indian restaurants - raise your game!
