Even when heaving on a Friday night, everyone makes way for you to get to the bar and you are served quickly and with style. The regulars offer a high standard of conversation and the breadth of clientèle is awesome. The food is not cheap but is varied and excellent. Pizzas from a Victorian oven, regular live entertainment, a huge array of real beers and lagers (just don't expect Stella or Fosters!) and a Landlord as mad as a box of frogs - what more could you ask for? Only gripe is you need to get there early to be assured of a seat. One extra point: they have letting rooms so you don't need to travel far to your bed.
