Paid £32.50 per ticket for a tribute night and meal. The tribute act was in a different room so we couldn’t hear him singing. All we could hear was a very loud muffled noise. The food was disgusting – I’m sure it all came from Iceland for a £1.00 Thai fishcack – no it’s not a spelling mistake it’s a description. Cat food in nuclear orange breadcrumbs deep fried until as hard as a hockey puck and the Pièce de résistance was the chilli sauce on the plate, obviously this was the Thai part of the dish. The wine list consists of about 5 choices of white wine, we chose a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc After the 2nd bottle on a table of 6 we were told they had run out !! not only of the wine were drinking but they didn’t have another Sauvignon blanc and therefore we had to drink white Rioja. The attitude of the staff was terrible – slapped each plate of food down on the table Unsurprising the staff have such an attitude as the Manager has an even worse couldn’t care less arrogance. We spoke to the manager about our concerns & unhappiness regarding the whole evening, his response was to shrug his shoulders and point out that the evening was a sell out. Well in this economic climate I don’t think with that type of attitude they will continue to have sell out evenings for very long.
