Staff very friendly, ambience warm and cosy, but food disapointing and costly. The salad I ordered was swimming in sauce, complained but charged the full price £9.95.even though sent back only half eaten.

A quaint small country pub near Woodham Mortimer. 4 adults and 2 young children had a Saturday lunch. Busy as it was Valentine's weekend but nice quiet ambient atmosphere. Extensive menu choice. Catered for the kids off the a la Carte menu. Very friendly service. Haven't been here for over 15 years. Long overdue. Look forward to returning to the beer garden and play area for the kids on a nice summer's day. Would recommend it.
