My Favourite Italian
My compliments go out to this friendly restaurant with a warm atmosphere and a varied tasty menu, the food is excellent value for money and my family and I used this venue for our New Years Eve celebrations which went with a bang.
well done Beverly and Peter
The best Italian I have found
Before I tried this restaurant I visited most within the area. From our first visit we have never had the need to look elsewhere for good italian food. We have always enjoyed an excellent service and feel like one of the family when we dine here. I have taken both Friends and Family here and would dine here at least once a week given the time. The service that we have always received is commendable and I would recommended this restaurant to my closest friends.
Good food, Good night out
I have dined at this restaurant several times and always came away very satisfied.
Superb restaurant
I feel the need to defend this restaurant against the previous review, I am a long standing regular customer of this restaurant and have yet to have a bad meal! The greeting is always pleasant, the decor is cosy, warm and inviting, the many meals I have eaten here have all been very satisfactory. The steaks are the best I have eaten anywhere.
Go to the chinese over the road!
I would not normally trouble myself to review a restaurant but having the misfortune to stumble on this venue on Sunday evening (simply because my favourite restaurant in the area was closed for a private function) I feel the need to share. As I consider what I should write, an old saying "never judge a book by it's cover" comes to mind. Everything started off well, the menu looked promising, the wine list adequate, the decor uninspiring (and a bit scruffy) but tolerable ..... but then came the food. My calamari starter was overcooked, rubbery and so completely lacking in flavour that not even a hint of it's fishy origin remained and my main course of Veal Millanese was mere seconds away from drowning in it's accompanying bath of oil. I missed the pudding course as I was running out of the will to live by then and had to leave. If ever an establishment needed of a good sharp injection of Gordon Ramsay this is it. Pull your socks up lads, you are not cheap and you have some very stiff local competition!!!
