Licencees Alastair and Katie Bols, having won the Evening Standard paper "L ondon Pub of the Year" at their pre Kings Head Gosfield venture, have seen their reputation grow and grow since re-opening in June 2004, and having also recently gained “Star” rated status within the CAMRA “Good Pub Food” guide and also the CAMRA “Real Ale Guide”
This wonderful Tudor public house has been an integral part of the village since the reign of Henry VIII and has lost none of its charm and ambience. Katie and Alastair have worked hard to bring out the very best of the pubs distinguished features, like the huge open inglenook fireplaces, solid oak beams and floors, with soft leather furnishings.
