The Cricketers Arms  is situated in Danbury overlooking the Common.

This splendid country pub is made up of a delightful bar, divided into small intimate seating areas with an array of cricket memorabilia adorning the walls, plus a recently refurbished Dining Room/Restaurant.

Dishes are home made by their new Chef Ross Bazely previously from a Michelin Star accredited restaurant in London. Over a period of time Ross will be introducing his own style of dishes to The Cricketers Arms dining menu's.

As well as a offering a delicious traditional Sunday lunch, the pub offers a good selection of Real Ales, including Spitfire and Master Brew, along with a good choice of wines to complement an excellent menu.

Yes an interesting little eatery, changed from last time here in 2011. Most found the food good, the trout/asparagus
meal was disappointing, stringy asparagus and overcooked
fish, but excellent asparagus soup the ice cream choice
was good and delicious. All in the party enjoyed the lunch
and on the whole it is to be recommended. Waitresses were
attentive and pleasant

Bit hit-and-miss

Bit of a mixed experience. Have been a few times and can thoroughly recommend the lamb shank - although have returned since and this has disappeared off the menu - although not very impressed with some other meals on the menu. Service is fast although not overly polite or welcoming. Not the country vibe advertised with loud football and its supporters at any time of day/night/week/year (we felt a bit like we were intruding on the game...). However the location is lovely. A word of warning - don't be surprised if certain members of staff seem unwilling to serve you if the pub gets a little busy of an evening.
