Poor Pub
The service in this pub is terrible, and the food leaves a lot to be desired..... our orders all came out wrong and the quality of the food was awful!! And when trying to make a complaint about the food we were told that nothing could be done! BAD FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE!! do not go there.
A lovely spring lunch
Stopped off for a Saturday lunch on a lovely spring day with the family.Food was very good overall. Cromer Crab meal was heavenly and the home-made Steak Pie was generous and very tasty. Couldn't fault food. Generally good value for money lunches. Toilets do need some more TLC. Service was polite but hospitality could be marketed a bit more. Have lunched here a couple of times over the last year and will continue to do so.
OFFENSIVE LANDLORD AND DIRE SERVICE
DREADFUL PUB! Arrogant and rude landlord AND landlady. I was even reprimanded for ringing ahead and apologising that 1 of the guests was ill so we were a table of 3 not 5 now?! Can't tell you how disappointed I was when we got there then as took my elderly parents there for lunch yesterday (Sunday) and waited over an hour before we even got served! The food then arrived about a further hour afterwards. Chips were so overcooked I sent them back. Next plate arrived undercooked. I left them. Service terrible and will NEVER return. Lady at bar was complaining about the service too when I went to pay (I'd given up waiting for a waiter to bring me the bill). When I told the landlord how disappointed I was, he implied I was lying about the wait I'd had as he showed me the time on the receipt when we ordered our food! I CORRECTED HIM AND TOLD HIM THAT WAS WHEN WE ARRIVED AND ORDERED OUR FIRST DRINKS!! How dare he!! No apology. I hope you lose your license and you are closed down !!!
CHILD UNFRIENDLY
I found the proprietor offensive they offer a childrens menu but his attitude was far from child friendly I have never been treated so badly at an eatery ever when I complained instead of wanting to resolve the situation he became aggressive. I was completely shocked and appalled by his behaviour and will never again eat at this pub. Not only was his behaviour atrotious but the food was barely average and overpriced for what we received.
Fantastic food in a fantastic setting!
Took parents here for anniversary meal as was recommended by many friends. Was fantastic, the food portions a very good size, price for what you get is really good value for money and the taste and quality of the food was the best I have had in a while.
We all went for fish as our main dish, the skate my dad has he said was one of the best he has had and the rest of us were very happy with our meals. Can not fault the place and going back for sure.
I am very fussy and not afraid to say, but cant fault the place!
