The Lion, previously The Red Lion, dates back to at least 1869 as a pub. It was extended around 26 years ago and now seats 65 in the restaurant along with 26 in the bar area.
F&J Inns has over 30 years of catering and top class hospitality experience. Matt (Head Chef) has worked in pubs and fine dining kitchens all over the UK and abroad. With his wealth of knowledge he creates tantalising culinary delights for you to sample and enjoy. Richard (Front of House) has worked in a vast array of venues around the country such as pubs, bars, football clubs and assisted managing a top class hotel. Richard like Matt has an eye for fine quality products and will always have good beer on tap with a few surprise seasonal ales and independent brewers on draft.
