I could not recommend this restaurant to anyone - the food is overpriced and three times now we have seemingly become invisible after our dinner plates were cleared and never even got to see the dessert menu, let alone order anything more. No matter how quiet or busy it is the waitresses are cold, unfriendly and inattentive. A great shame as Sloppy Joes could be a great place with better service and cheaper food, but with the abundance of restaurants in Colchester I'd say go elsewhere.
Should be renamed Sloppy Service!

This will be the last time I go here. The service is incredibly slow, no matter how busy the restaurant is, and now for the third time we have come away without even seeing the dessert menu as once again we were miraculously forgotten after our dinner plates were taken away! The food is ok but totally overpriced for what it is and saturated in oil. For a good, value for money meal I would recommend Frankie and Benny's or Table Table a million times over Sloppy Joe's!

A fairly average, slightly overpriced pseudo American Diner. We found the food very average and the chicken wraps that we had were quite oily and without much flavour. I then remembered why I hadn't been for so many years. I hadn't been impressed the first time either.
