I recently visited Grahams on the Green for my birthday meal with my partner, this being my second visit.

The restaurant itself is well presented and the food was of a good standard but on this occasion not outstanding.

The evening was a little spoilt by a couple of waiting staff who failed to make us feel welcome. For want of a better way to put it they seemed slightly 'snooty'. Having eaten at a variety of local restaurants I was slightly taken back by their manner.

Good food, pleasant decor - questionnable service.

We went to Grahams on the green for my birthday meal on the 6th of February. I spent all day procrastinating between about 3 restaurant choices as we are new to this area and so had nothing to go on (but for the internet searches)! I traumatised my partner with my indecision so it was fortunate that in order for him to recover fully, we were treated to a wonderful evening that surpassed our expectations.

From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant we were so well looked after, the service could not be faulted. The atmosphere was perfect for a Friday evening and it was clear that the clientelle included some dedicated foodies.

Our table was intimate, comfortable and romantic. The choice was only from a la carte as it was Friday, this turned out to be exceptionally good value and was exquisitely put together. I tasted dishes that I had not tried before and saw impressive twists to their dishes. My salmon tempura starter with a lime marmalade was a birthday gift in itself. My main course and pudding were mouthwatering and well presented.

The wine list was very good and it was nice to see the option of a half bottle to some favourite wines. Even my gin and tonic aperitif was juicy, limey and fresh; doing by definition what it is meant to!

I wanted to write such a lengthy review as I was so , so impressed and had such a perfect birthday dinner here. Also I wanted to urge anyone as indecisive as I, to treat themselves to a delectable evening at this friendly, well run establishment.

Thank you to my lovely boyfriend for taking me there and Grahams on the Green for nourishing him back to full health after I drove him mad!!

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant last Saturday and had a very nice meal. We were a little hesitant about whether it would be value for money after seeing the prices, but when we tasted the food we were not disappointed, it was amazing and we will definately be going back there and recommending it to anyone that wants a well presented tasty meal with fantastic service and comfortable surroundings. It was definately worth the price and I cant wait to go back there.

Hard to beat at the price

We've been to this restaurant several times , always midweek , on the last occasion it was an entertainment night , as always the ambience was pleasant , the staff friendly and the food great , I don't think it's " good value " I think it's cheap for this quality , overall I think it takes some beating and shall certainly be going again .
