My husband and I had a meal here last week and were very pleased to see the place under new ownership!
The food was out of this world. We've eaten in expensive London restaurants and the Green Man wipes the floor with some of them!
There are so many lovely ingredients in the dishes it was hard to know what to choose but we weren't disppointed.
The portions are just the right size and there was none of your usual frozen food so common in nice pubs.
The setting is very pretty and although the restaurant is quite traditional in design, the food was by no means boring!
The toilets are looking a little tired but the place is clean and the service very relaxed and friendly.
We will definitely be going back soon and have recommended the Green Man to all our friends!

Visited last night with some friends and had a lovely evening. Perfect sized portions, excellent home cooked food and very good service.

Could have been busier (and warmer) but was a cold night, pre Christmas and think just has been taken over. Will definitely be returning and telling friends. Very impressed. Well done and good luck.

Although we arrived at the time they started serving we ordered chickenleg for me and fish pie for my wife.Five minutes later we were informed that they did not have any fish pie so we both ordered chicken legs.Five minutes later we were told they only had one leg but they did have one chicken breast,so we ordered that.My wife had the chicken leg and wished she had not.It was very very tough ,it had obviously come from a disabled chicken with one leg who had built up a lot of muscle!

To find a country that's well run clean and top food with a landlord who cares without an eye watering bill at the end of it.
