The A La Carte menu offers a combination of traditional and modern dishes, freshly prepared by the chefs using the finest local and national produce.

The Green Man is a traditional family run business based in Highwood near Chelmsford serving traditional English fayre with a hint of modern European cusine

An extended front terrace garden hints at the internal changes inside The Alma. The pub has been completely refurbished but retains the relaxing ambience, welcoming atmosphere and friendly service of old.

The décor in the bar is now light, bright creams and greens with hot orange accents. There are two open fires in the front bar area with a non-smoking eating area. The all new bar seating is a combination of leather sofas, tub chairs and comfortable dining chairs on tiled floors.

Three real ales on hand pumps are rotated weekly, past favourites have included Crouch Vale Brewers Gold and Nethergate Umbel Ale. There is a
comprehensive wine list and eleven wines are served by the glass.

The more formal restaurant area is stylish but intimate with a log burner in an inglenook fireplace and carpeted floor. Soft background music adds to the quiet sophisticated ambience. Desserts are also faithful to the authentic theme with classics such as panettone al forno, a warm panettone bread and butter pudding served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.

Siam Cottage is a Thai restaurant located in Chelmsford.

Siam Cottage is a 180 seater restaurant combining a 16th century English cottage and authentic Thai architecture.
The top floor is available for private and corporate functions accommodating up to 150 people.

The Punch Bowl is housed in a listed Tudor building which was formerly a Coaching Inn, constructed in the early 15th century.

The restaurant uses local produce and herbs that compliment the fish they buy from Billingsgate market, and the meat from Sweetlands of Great Dunmow.

A traditional country pub tucked away in the village of Writtle. The Duck Inn serves locally-produced food and is well-known for its duck dishes.

Located at Newney Green, near Writtle in Essex, the Duck Inn nestles in quiet, glorious countryside, yet is only a few minutes drive from Chelmsford, the county town.

The Duck Inn is decorated in a traditional country style, with oak tables and country chairs, exposed beams, and a huge feature brick fireplace that links the two bars.
