We took our Aunt for her 80th birthday. There was plenty to choose from on the menu. The food selection was not fussy or ridiculously foreign sounding, Nicely cooked and served promptly. Staff were friendly, very welcoming and happy. Unfortunately the vegetarian selection was scarce. It does list a good amount of vegetarian meals on the menu, but they were unavailable on that day. Still, the one vegetarian dish we had was delicious. Their fish and chips gives any decent chippie a run for their money. I love this pub, the inside is cosy without being small and the garden is large and dog friendly. Try it!!

Upgraded a few years ago and from the outside it looks great. Unfortunately that's where it stops. Food appears and taste like typical micorwave food premade from the wholesale supplier and kept warm under hot lights. Also ambience is awful with locals swearing at the bar and kids running around while the TV plays to the uninterested in the background. Service is very average as are the prices but because of taste the value for money is low. I would not be going back there are a lot of better places out there.
