The Blue Bridge Bar & Restaurant has been finely crafted to the highest standard, striving to maintain a comfortable and inviting atmosphere from the moment you walk in right up until its time to reluctantly go home.

The wonderful selection of food on the menu has been crafted to perfection by our award-winning chef, Paul Korten. Paul has had many years of experience in top restaurant and hotel kitchens across the South East, and it has earned him numerous officially recognised commendations for the consistently high standards of cuisine on offer under his brigade.

The extensive selection of fine wines are brought to you by our owner, Steve Andrews, a Champagne and wine connoisseur who regularly scours the major and independent vineyards alike for the finest varieties available in the world today.

Sit back and wash the whole lot down with a classy mix of jazz piano from talented guest artists and bands, and have yourself a night to remember.

Recently refurbished The Five Bells in Colne Engaine's interior retains lovely features such as the original exposed timbers and is tastefully decorated and furnished; outside, a lovely terrace commands stunning views over the Colne Valley.

Owners Darran & Caroline Lingley are happy to uphold the inn's long and fine tradition of hospitality, quality and service. Affable hosts, they and their friendly staff make all their guests feel most welcome.

The menu is a happy mix of modern food and traditional values and makes use of only the freshest ingredients and local produce. All food is home-cooked and freshly prepared, including the delicious breads. All the meat is cured and fish smoked on the premises.

The Royal Oak at Great Stambridge has lost none of its old charm, indeed the whole ambiance has been enriched by the new decor and furniture.

Enjoy food in this delightful tudor style country pub and maybe even even visit the haunted church in nearby Canewdon if you have the stomach for it!

The spacious bar offers ample room to relax and enjoy a drink or two from the well stocked bar. The pub has access and toilets for disabled customers. A superb Trout & Course Fishing facility is located just down the road, whilst both Ballards and Rochford Golf Clubs are only a short journey away.
