Essex is well endowed with good country Inns and the Leather Bottle certainly comes into this category.

The pub has a cosy snug bar in which to enjoy a drink before sampling some of the culinary delights on offer. The cuisine is a blend of European and traditional English. All meals are made from fresh local produce and the emphasis is on freshly cooked, which may mean a brief wait but as with everything that's good, it's well worth the wait.

The Bull was built around the year 1385 and is set in the picturesque village of Blackmore.

Haunted by at least three ghosts- seen by staff and customers alike for many years- the Bull is packed tight with atmosphere and an atmosphere of days gone by.

It's the perfect venue when taking a drive out in the countryside. Arrive early and take a stroll around this beautifully preserved village to sharpen up your appetite. The Bull is renowned for their homemade meals; whether it's for lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed. All dining areas are "NON-SMOKING".
