This wonderful Tudor public house has been an integral part of the village since the reign of Henry VIII and has lost none of its’ charm and ambience. You will instantly warm to the huge open inglenook fireplaces, solid oak beams and flours and the sophisticated country furnishings. New licensee Mark Bloomfield has recently taken over vowing to offer all who visit, a dining and drinking experience unrivalled in the area. He comes from an award winning gastro pub in Nottingham (winning Best Newcomer in the Nottingham Evening Post Restaurant Awards, 2007) and prides himself on promoting the very best of local produce, local farmers and local young talented chefs.
