Smiths in Ongar, has prided itself on it's motto “Famous for Fish” since opening its doors in 1994, although, mention the name Smith’s to most people and “Famous for Service” would also be a phrase that springs to mind.

Indeed the reputation of this elegant restaurant as “the” place for fish has grown to become recognised as one of the finest sea food restaurants inSmiths Restaurant Ongar Essex.

The subtle lighting and soft décor lends itself the feeling of dining ‘al fresco' whilst the spacious and cleverly arranged seating allows for intimate dining and conversation. The menu is well balanced, offering an extensive line of fish and crustacea. With recent additions to the already impressive menu, the decision of what to order is even harder.

The restaurant, with cool air conditioning in the Summer and log fires in the Winter, is the perfect setting for dining – with it’s flower filled terrace and ample private car parking, its truly an ideal location. Treat yourself.
