The Seabrights Barn Carvery & Grill Chelmsford

We visit Seabrights quite regularly and have always received great service and great food. Roast potatoes not fantastic but meat and veg all good quality. Service ok, but for that sort of place you don't expect silver service!
Would definutely recomend!!

The Seabrights Barn Carvery & Grill Chelmsford

We visited Seabrights Barn recently for a family birthday. The restauant was tastefully decorated there was a great atmosphere. We all opted for the carvey and filled our plates with yorkshire puddings, plenty of meat, potatoes, mash and vegetables. The only dissapointment was the state of the sauce trays. Our waitress was very helpful, checking when we wanted our birthday cake and offering plates, napkins and a knife and we enjoyed a great family night out.
Adivce-book in advance especially for weekends to avoid disappointment as it was fully booked.

Very poor service - avoid

The Seabrights Barn Carvery & Grill Chelmsford

Poor service from this establishment and not a hint of an apology. We booked for a 21st birthday at 7.30pm. Served lukewarm soup by waitress with a poor attitude. We waited for the chef to make himself present at the carvery. He appeared to be doing us a favour. Once our party had been served, they cleared all the food away and put out the lights. At around 8pm? The waitress kept interrupting our conversations asking to take away glasses. No chance of going up for second helpings. Roast potatoes were deep fried. Salmon overcooked. We didn't bother with desert as they clearly wanted to close. Felt unwelcome. Wrote to the manager to express our displeasure as we didn't want to make it an issue on such an occasion. The response - we will take your comments into account. There are plenty of choices in Chelmsford. Avoid this one. You'll be welcome and get better value for money anywhere else.
