The Queens Head Maldon Essex

My girlfriend and I took advantage of the £35 valentine's day menu. What a bargain! Sweet, succulent scallops followed by beautiful pink duck breast (with a home-made lime sorbet to cleanse tha pallet in between!) were both perfect. The dessert was so chocolately and smooth I felt like I had to lie down afterwards. Beautiful setting, lovely staff and ridiculously good value for money. Only slight downside was the two teenage chav couples at the table next to us who didn't have a clue between them what a scallop was. "Is it chicken, innit?"
