Please dont let this resturant be any reflection on south african food ... I put myself through university working at the spur as a waiter and a manager. The waiter had no knowlddge of what he was serving , the griller hadn't a clue on how to grill steak properly ... ps rare steak needs to be served on a skilet! At 10:45 chairs were being stacked on tables around me while i was just receving my main course ... the waiter had an excuse for everything ... and ofcourse the manager (men in black)... couldnt give a hoot ..too busy playing spur god. Spur is a simple formula , good food , good fun ,good price ........ this resturant need to get the basics right before charging people for second grade food and service. Yep ...you've guess it , it was S.......

just come back from eating here and was not too impressed. The service was slow and meal was not that great. The kids meal we ordered came up wrong. It was our son's birthday and we had gone there on the spur (pardon the pun) of the moment, when we ordered his dessert and said it was his 6th birthday was informed that they would not sing happy birthday as we had not given them a cake. Talk about petty! we had just spent the best part of £50 and they could not put a candle in some ice cream and sing. We will not be going there again!!

I love a good medium-well done steak, succulent chicken, tender ribs and a fresh salad. Spurs restaurant delivered on all these last night. The restaurant was able to provide an excellent ambient eating place for families (all ages),couples and friends. The service was great (Thanks to out waiter-Roi,and we will definitely be going back.

The food and service was great here - our waitress couldn't do enough for us. And what else was great was a little play room for kids with a camera so we could observe them from outside where we were sitting. A bit pricey, but I'd definately go back for tasty food and the children's play area.
