I have been 3 times now since this pub opened and what a difference from the last owners the food is great and some really fantastic desserts. Please don't be put off by the remark about the ambience from Ryan I guess he went on a quiet night we have had really lovely the atmosphere and Staff on all our visits. A real pearl in the midst of some dreary pubs.

We visited Masons Brentwood for a mid-week business lunch, or choice was from their set lunch menu. We were all most impressed with the quality of our meals and could not fault any of it. The service was attentive, slick and not over the top. I would certainly like to revisit on an evening and would hope that the standards remain as high as our lunchtime experience. I would certainly recommend it with confidence.

Afternoon tea at Marygreen Manor is a mixed affair of good and bad.

Good:
-Waiting staff are very helpful, polite and very well trained.
- Food is great, although not plentiful, restrained but tasty.
- Quite busy with business people and locals combined, nice ambience.
- We went with a group with prams and they had made a very good effort to ensure we had enough room - although they were pre-warned.
- Very good value.

Bad:
- Overpriced champagne by the glass (flat and old, we should have complained) but by the bottle is reasonable.
- Front of house staff were rude and unhelpful. Disappointing as the waiting staff were so accommodating.
- No baby changing facilities, but this may be because we couldn't find the disabled toilets. The toilets were, however, very clean and luxurious!

Would I go again? Absolutely.

I really like this restaurant and have been there for a few big occassions i went there recently for my 21st birthday with a group of 25 on a saturday night when they have the set menus and disco, and have been to the disco nights on a few occassions before...The food is always delicious and the drinks are reasonable. I like that you can pay as you drink so that they are not continuously topping up your glass without you looking like other restaurants.

The service was very good and very quick considering it was so busy and that there were so many of us. We were not rushed and were given plenty of food with lots to choose from!

Id recommend it to anyone although the location is a bit difficult and it is very dark you would definately have to get a cab even if you live close by as you cant walk down the pitch black lanes!

Cant wait to go back for the next celebration!!!

This is my partner and i favourite restaurant, it is difficult to find another restaurant without comparing it to Tarrantinos...we had our first date there and since then been going back regularly...we love it and id recommend it to anyone especially on a Thursday night they have a live one man band when you sit upstairs...Upstairs is cosier than downstairs but they dont always open upstairs unless they are very busy! which they are most weekends!! We always have amazing food and we've never had a bad experience!...the staff are always friendly and very helpful!
p.s have the beef it is cooked to perfection...Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!! ENJOY!!!

Went for the Sunday buffet which was advertised as having loads of kids entertainment (face painting, bear, balloons, entertainer etc). There was only one very stressed woman face painting and when we asked if our kids could have it done she said there was already 5 kids in front. The desserts are all from Costco (they don't even try and hide it!)There was no other entertainment for the kids and we left. You only have about 3 thai choices of main course in the buffet and if you go for the carvery the food was dried out and re heated. Despite several phone calls and 3 letters of complaint we've heard nothing so just shows once they have your money they don't care. Probably why you have to pay before you even sit down!!!

We visited this bijou pub some weeks ago and found everything about it smashing. It has the really cosy feel of a good old fashioned English pub and yet surprises you with exquisite and sumptuous dining, well worth a visit. A must for a second visit soon - sadly we live in Poole or we would be regulars. We wish you much success with this new venture.

so many dishes to choose from and a great value for money.the staff is helpful and attentive. i would recommend it especially the buffet which has over 60 dishes.

Stunning bar and restaurant, have been three times hoping that food would improve because the place is so special but alas I have now given up.

We dropped in here for lunch last Sunday. We were very impressed. All the food was freshly cooked on the premises and served hot and promptly. The staff very friendly and eager to meet any of our requiremnts. The quantities were sufficient. The high-light for Sarah was the Baileys Cream profitetroles. We would recommend it to anyone
