what a lovely Quaint little restaurant in the middle of Southend. I could almost be in Paris. The atmosphere was amazing, Food quality spectacular, and overall Just Lovely. The perfect place for a romantic meal for two.

We had lunch on Saturday at the Royal Oak. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant was clean and airy but lacked some atmosphere, I think if I went again I would eat in the bar area which had a little more atmosphere. The food was good for a pub and the fish went down well. However, it was a little bit expensive, in my opinion. All in all, nice for lunch, would probably go back for a pub lunch.

Unfortunatly Southend isnt renowned for its selection of fine dining restaurants, so some people may not be used to a certain level of service! The food at Fleur De Provence is of a very high quality, they have a good wine list, and regularly change the menu to seasonal foods and they look after you, but its not cheap! certainly not 1/10! If however you want your TGI Fidays type of meal then this isnt the place.

AVOID!!! If I could give every single person who is thinking about booking a table at this restraunt my private mobile number so that I could talk them out of it I would. Had dinner there last weekend and it was the worst eating out experience our family has ever had. The owner was ignorant, RUDE and offensive and the food could not even be described as average. Avoid this restraunt at all costs!!! Hideous place!!!
