I have been a regurlar customer for many years and have always been satisfied with the experience. however the menu appears to be stuck in a time warp and in my humble opinion needs to be updated and refreshed. I normally go mid-week, maybe that's the problem. I was at the restaurant last week, the duck fat chips were soggy with blackening of the potato, my hosts chipped were hard, these were sent back and replaced, I ordered a dessert decribed as a white chocolate mouuse..this bore no resemblance to any mousse I have had before and sent it back. The restaurant is lovely but maybe they have become too complacent.

By a long way the best Chinese restaurant we've been to and we've been many times over a long time.
We've eaten in plenty of oriental restaurants in Chinatown and elsewhere, including in most continents. The nearest we've come to Lian's is the highly rated Intercontinental hotel at Kowloon, which, although exceptional, is not quite as good.
The extesive menu always maintains a high quality.
Especially good are the Chinese New Year banquets.
The joint owner, Kim, is a real character.
Price is a bit higher than average, but worth the extra.
If you like Chinese food this is the place.

Super new restaurant owned by the same people who have the Blue Strawberry up the road at Hatfield.

It seems to be aimed at a slightly lower budget than the Blue Strawberry but still has some fantastic food and a simple turn up and eat system. (You can't book in advance for normal nights).

All in all a great addition to the local restaurant choice and the car park says it all - it is always packed!

I've been going to the Blue Strawb for over 8 years now and I have never been disappointed. I do think the service is better on Weekend nights, but its not a major complaint. Simply my favorite local restaurant.

Always a family favourite, we have celebrated engagements, birthdays, weddings, achievements and even losses here. We are always made very welcome, and always look forward to returning.

Been here twice now and both occasions found that the service was not a good as it could have been. Food was nice, but would not say this place is out of this world.

I have been a regular at the Blue Strawberry for the past 8 - 10 years and I am always more than satisfied on every visit, Staff are very welcoming, food is always very divine, good portions and you are able to grab a bargain Mondays - Thursday.
My partner & I have dined at many restaurants and have yet to come a cross some where that ticks all the boxes like the Blue Strawberry, near to our home, friendly and welcoming staff, fantastic food & reasonable pricing.

Having been told by just about everyone to visit 'The Blue Strawberry' we gave in and booked last week.

Usually when we're recommended a place we're usually disappointed, the blue strawberry bucked this trend, and then some.
