We tried this gastropub the week it opened and were not disapponted. We have since eaten there with the family (6 of us) and the food and service has been of very high consistant quality. The food is excellent and the staff seem genuinely interested in their customers!. I would highly recommend it. PS they also have a great range of beers, in original barrels with plenty of guest beers.

The pub was recently taken over and has come on in leaps and bounds. The guys who run it definately know their stuff and it's great to finally have a decent local in the village that's not overrun with day-trippers!

The food at the Thorn is better than at most restaurants in London. It is fresh, locally sourced and beautifully presented. Desserts are especially wonderful. This pub represents excellent value for money.
