We had a family meal here last Sunday to celebrate my Mother's Birthday and the food, staff and overall value for money was excellent! Can't wait to come back!

Went to Pinchos today for lunch for the very first time. Service was friendly and the food was superb and very well prepared. (Chocolate Brownie for dessert was heaven)We thought it was excellent value for money and cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely return in the near future.

Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, lovely food!!

We visit Seabrights quite regularly and have always received great service and great food. Roast potatoes not fantastic but meat and veg all good quality. Service ok, but for that sort of place you don't expect silver service!
Would definutely recomend!!

I have to say that I've dined at Pietro's a couple of times now. This is because different sets of friends have made the reservation. I believe that it's hard to find a great restaurant in Essex, but I still hold out hope every time a new establishment opens it's doors. The location and building are just right, an old tea room tucked away within the picturesque village of Stock. The food is slightly above average and not particularly good value. (I'll pay anything for top nosh!) It's missing atmosphere and needs to loosen up. It has potential to become a convivial, buzzy restaurant serving homely, tasty italian food, but misses the boat. Go there once as a change from all the other average restaurants nearby, but I don't think you'll rush back.

Its such a shame to see a once great restaurant go so downhill over the last few years. I have visited many times over the last few months as i live very close by, however i have noticed the following problems/issues:
- The food is boring and expensive, especially for the portion size.
- My complaint was dealt with appalingly... when i did not even receive my starters, i asked to speak to the manager (who i believe was fairly new) and was basically told that if i didnt pay for it, he would call the Police. THe guy looked old enough to retire and clearly doesnt know the slightest thing about customer service.
- When the bill came over to the table for our party, they had the cheek to add on a 10% service charge.....what for i asked myself? For service from a waiter that has the personalitiy of an undertaker who could do nothing more than grunt, and an even ruder restaurant manager.

I seriously think the Waterfront Place needs to wake up and smell the roses as Chelmsford is a small town with lots of competition! Ill be taking my custom elsewhere to better local restaurants.

Choose this one carefully fellow customers...personally id save the money and eat at Prezzos, Strada or even Pizza Express!

I DONT USUALLY WRITE ON THESE THINGS BUT BY CHANCE SAW THE REPORT FROM THE SUPPOSED FOOD CRITIC AND COULD NOT BELIVE MY EYES IT WAS SO FAR OFF THE TRUTH I RECOMMEND THAT MAFFIAS SUE HER AND THE PEOPLE WHO LET HER WRITE IT WITHOUT CHECKING THE FACTS OUT

Good quality food and a wider selection on their new menu. Good ales always available.

My family and i dine frequently at The Waterfront Place and have attended many of the tribute nights and funtions. The food is high quality and the service is great. My children especially like the amazing pizzas. I have also dined with my husband upstairs and find it the perfect venue to relax and be waited on, this restaurant never fails to impress.

Lan Thai has a pretty good, varied menu. Something a little bit different than an average Thai. Most Thai restaurants have a rubbish wine list, but Lan Thai is very good in this respect.
