Friendly service,  Thursday, 01 May 2008 Fantastic service -- very friendly. Food was good. Limited ambience but that may have been because we were there fairly early evening. I would go back.

 Friendly service in a nice village!,  Saturday, 29 March 2008 We had lunch on Saturday at the Royal Oak. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant was clean and airy but lacked some atmosphere, I think if I went again I would eat in the bar area which had a little more atmosphere. The food was good for a pub and the fish went down well. However, it was a little bit expensive, in my opinion. All in all, nice for lunch, would probably go back for a pub lunch.

 Wonderful food and friendly service!,  Wednesday, 26 March 2008 We had a wonderful evening which started well by being offered a choice of which table we would like to sit at....how often does that happen? The menu was relatively small but had a good variety of dishes. The mussels were cooked to perfection and everything was well presented and made with good quality ingredients. On the night we went they had a live singer (was not aware of this when we booked) which was very pleasant and not obtrusive to our meal in any way. All in all, good food and service, clearly managed by people who care about their customers. Will definitely go back.

 Great for an informal evening,  Sunday, 17 February 2008 A more upmarket chain restaurant serving great pizza and pasta. Food is freshly prepared and consistently good. It's a good value for money evening out. Informal, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The food was served by friendly, knowledgable staff. We were not rushed or pressured but staff were attentive and interested.

Would recommend.
