Strada,  Monday, 11 February 2008 The latest addition to the string of mediocre Italian chain restaurants already on Billericay High Street. When will the locals demand something other than a menu consisting of garlic bread and caesar salads to start followed by mains of either penne pasta (complete with bland tomato sauce), the standard overly-cooked steak or a lack lustre fish creation!?

To be fair Strada is not a terrible restaurant by any means. The food was perfectly reasonable and the service fairly good. Possibly slightly overpriced but nicely done out inside. All in all it meets the full critera of an uninspired restaurant for a gastronomically uninspired town.

Fingers crossed that if they do enough business perhaps someone can justify opening a Pizza Express to complete the town's 'Italian Collection'.
