THE FOOD WAS GREAT
THE STAFF WERE SO KIND AND HELPFUL AND DID NOT MIND IT TOOK AGES FOR US ALL TO MAKE UP OUR MINDS
WE ALL SAMPLED EACH OTHERS MEALS AS THEY ALL LOOKED NICE BUT THEY TASTED BETTER
MIXED AGE RANGE OF PEOPLE
GOT CHATTING TO PEOPLE ON THE NEXT TABLE WHO USED THE PLACE REGULAR AS WE THOUGHT IT HAD JUST BEEN DECORATED THAT WEEK ONLY TO BE TOLD NO
IT WAS NICE EVERYTHING CAME TO OUR TABLE QUICKLY
THE SERVICE WAS POLITE AND NOT INTRUSIVE
NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE
I DONT USUALLY WRITE ON THESE THINGS BUT BY CHANCE SAW THE REPORT FROM THE SUPPOSED FOOD CRITIC AND COULD NOT BELIVE MY EYES IT WAS SO FAR OFF THE TRUTH I RECOMMEND THAT MAFFIAS SUE HER AND THE PEOPLE WHO LET HER WRITE IT WITHOUT CHECKING THE FACTS OUT

Interior:Ok...bit of a mixture of modern black leather seating, with dated check prints on the floor.Bit of a mish-mash.You can tell it went in for a modernisation then ran out of money half way through or something.

Exterior: Again ok....cheap white plastic seating in the garden...pity the new laws forced all the smokers out there.

Atmosphere: I went on a Sunday which was probably not the best idea.Screaming/crying/rude children sat on a near by table, which consequently, muted any conversation of ours. Very crowded.Couldn't get to the toilet without a small child running into my leg.Headachy. I felt it had certain elements of one of those brewers fayre chainy places

Service: I got served firstly by an elderly grey haired woman(there is no uniform here as such) who came across at first as very nice but then as the place got busy she got ruder and ruder. She seemed to resent her job and have the weight of the world on her shoulders .She was unable to use the chip and pin machine and got frustrated-and took it out on us in a snappy, harsh and bitter tone.(and they expect a tip!) I got served my meals by a young, short waitress who was at times trying to hard(tip-grabber)and seemed to have the fakest, forced smile I've ever seen, which I found indeed quite patronising(espc when she called me hun).

Actual Food : Starter-Prawn Cocktail.this felt like a piece of forensic evidence with fingerprints smeared round the side. And a mound of prawn cocktail sauce in the middle-yum.Bland,boring not upbeat.

Main-Lamb.meat was a little tough for my liking but hey,we can't have it all our own way.Veg was served seprately and was a little luke warm. If you do EVER venture to this dive, don't ask for an extra fork for if you drop it.It took ages to get ANY attention and finally when a waitress did arrive from her busy chat at the bar about what shes doing after work, she seemed slightly pissed off to be interrupted.

Dessert-Choclate Cake.Rich,but edible.

Overall very dissapointing. My fiance and ,were not alone in this opinion. We briefly spoke to a nice, couple on the table next to us who also found the behaviour of the old, grey-haired mule totally unacceptable and thus made several jokes on the subject of mental illness and should seek phsycological councilling. We,however came to the conclusion of bi-polarism.
Would never reccomend to this 'Brasserie'(not quite sure what that means, but I'm pretty sure it's the German word for cafe)

I recommend to the owners to relocate, get a nice chalet to rent over the summer months near the seaside because this place isn't close enough and sell hot-dogs!As some people just shouldn't own a cafe!
