Having recently changed their menu and name to become a Turkish/Greek grill, you would hope their notoriously poor standards would have been swept away along with the incumbent menu. Unfortunately this is not the case.

The place feels like a canteen and the fact my girlfriend and I walked in at 8:30 to find only one other table occupied should have been warning enough, however I love Greek food so thought we should give them a chance.

The waiter was abysmally rude. We had to seat ourselves wait 15minutes until a menu was brought over. To which finally after a food order was taken he walked away before drinks order was made. I had to get up and walk to the bar to ask for more drinks during the meal as he had not bothered to look over once. Neither did he enquire as to how the meal was. His surly manner was very much not appreciated and the food was edible but decidedly substandard. To be honest I could have cooked it myself quite easily. The portions were far too small and the presentation was something that would have been at home in a GCSE cookery class, obtaining no more than a D grade.

Toilets were foul and there appears to be no men's toilet only a disabled one. To cap off this culinary abomination a function was being held upstairs. There is clearly no door between the upstairs room and so called restaurant downstairs, so we were treated at volume to the DJs club classics throughout, magical. Needless to say KFC stands more chance of receiving a booking from me in the future. Do not go to this place.

Overall this restaurant is superb. Regrettably the place is very quiet which creates a lack of ambience. The organic fillet steak was so tasty it just melted in your mouth. I would thorughly recommend this restaurant and can't understand why it is so quite. Maybe the prices are just a little too high.

Unfortunately we ordered a birthday cake from the bakery below which is also owned, I believe, by the same people but this did not come up to standard.

We tried the A la Carte menua. We found there was a reasonable choice if a little old fashioned. The presentation was modern if a somewhat sparce, but this did not matter as the individual tastes were very good. I had the fillet of steak with a delicious although very rich mushroom/truffle sauce. I asked for medium rare and was pleased with the velvety result. My wife tried the chicken thighs with pear which she equally enjoyed. The ambience was quiet due to few people and the service was attentive, genuinely friendly, polite and informative.
As mentioned we enjoyed our evening but thought the prices were slightly too high. We would certainly recommenda this restuarant with that proviso
